Sleeping or meditating?

Sleeping is extremely important. I wish I could be the kind of person that functions with little sleep. I’m not. Most of us aren’t.

We are not as productive. We lack the flow of new creative ideas. We are grumpy. Unsettled.

We are much better mothers to our children when we are well rested.

When we are busy with your lives, we avoid wasting time watching TV and spending time on social media and other distractions, we will need to steal time to our sleep in order to meditate.

And although some people might defend the opposite, sleeping enough is more important than meditation.

Instead of meditation you can ‘check in’. This takes from 1 to 5 min. You can do it for more, but 5 is more than in enough. Checking in your feelings, emotions, thoughts, sensations in your body. Without judgment, only pure observation.

Giving yourself attention. Acknowledging is the first step to change.

Change is needed in order to evolve.

Only what is dead doesn’t evolve. And what doesn’t evolve is dead.

September will bring a new set of online Free Move Yoga classes with a new theme.

My goal for you with these classes is to help you feeling physically stronger and emotionally calmer and more resilient.

I want you to feel confident about yourself and your life.

I’ will tell you more about it in my next letter, but if you have any questions you can reach me at paulacostayoga@gmail.com.
