Today I would like to share with you something I’ve discovered with this second pregnancy, as well as my favorite recipe for breakfast.
I’ve been feeling very well physically and emotionally. My tummy is growing fast and my baby (girl or boy? I don’t know…;) ) is moving a lot. I love to be pregnant! I enjoyed it with my son and I am now enjoying it this time as well. I see pregnancy as a journey of self-discovery. With my last pregnancy I felt self-confident in a way that I had never experienced before. I was really surprised that I could feel that way.
During this pregnancy I’ve been feeling different. I feel more mature and peaceful. I feel a confidence that comes from within. I feel safe and secure. I have especially discovered the beauty of a pregnant body. I look at myself in the mirror and I love to see my big tummy. I feel my body is perfect in this state. I had never thought about a pregnant woman being beautiful and sensual until now, but it is how I feel. Maybe because my dear husband is always reminding me how beautiful I look and how he enjoys seeing me with my big tummy. I wish I could always feel like this! I also wish that all pregnant women could have a MAN that feels like this and would let them know.
Especially these days, I like to take care of myself. Whenever it is possible, I spend some time alone, being with myself, relaxing or practicing some yoga. During these moments I also enjoy praying. I ask guidance for each day and blessings for this baby. I believe this is one of the reasons I feel so peaceful. I try to make this pregnancy as healthy as I can, and that is why I also take care of what I eat. One of the meals I enjoy most is my breakfast. I usually make a green smoothie to have during the morning. It is not always like this but most of the days it is. It is simple, nutritious and deliiiiiiicious! It helps me to stay strong and healthy. Below I share with you this simple recipe.
My special green juice/smoothie (serves 3 persons)
– 3 apples
– 5 cucumbers
– 2 celery stalks
– 1 handful of spinach (fresh or frozen)
– 1 peeled avocado
– 1 teaspoon of chlorella powder
– 1 teaspoon of flax seeds
– 3 dates
Juice the apples, the cucumbers, the celery and the spinach. For this you will need a juicer. If you don’t have one get it. It is worth it. Add to the juice the avocado, the chlorella, the flax seeds and the dates without the seed. Blend it with a blender or hand blender. And it is ready to drink. I just can’t resist it! :)))
